Officer Volunteers Needed

While this wasn't mentioned last night, we still need BPO officers for the positions of Secretary and Financial Secretary. It would also be helpful to have volunteers to take on the roles of President and Treasurer. All of these officers have Seniors and Juniors and it is important that these roles be shadowed so that the ins and outs can be learned. Email us at to let us know you are interested.

Band Director's Report

Band Trip:
A mandatory meeting will be held on Sunday, March 4, 2018 at 2pm in the Jr./Sr. High auditorium. 

Next payment is due January 5. Each person going on the trip must have a minimum of $500 in their respective accounts by this date. ($250 from first deposit and $250 from the January 5 deposit or a culmination of $500 from fundraising, cash donations, etc. total in their account by this date.)
 Please note that all money in a student's account stays in the account until the kids come back from the trip. It is a rolling building total. 

Speaking of Disney. . . .

The band performs at 2:30  PM on March 30 in the Magic Kingdom.Chamber choir sings on Saturday. Mr. Crone is working out the location and we will let you know as soon as we have that information. Students will be back in town on the Monday, April 2.

Band Banquet:
The date is currently up in the air. We are seeking a facility as our preferred date was taken. We will let everyone know the day and location once it has been finalized. Look for sometime in March.
No trailer updates at this time.
Band Uniform Update
  • All are clean!  Thank you to the volunteers for their fabulous washing skills.
  • The band will be wearing white pants for their Disney performance [Because they look sharp with our jackets!]
  • We will need another fitting prior to the band trip. Fittings will be in the evening with dates to be announced later. Fittings will likely take place three weeks prior to the trip. 
  • Dinkles: There is uncertainty regarding shoes. We may need just white shoes. If Mr. Hopkins and Mr. Crone decide we are using white Dinkles for the fall, then we might get them in time for the Disney trip.
