WHHSBPO Update November 27- December 1
The next WHHSBPO meeting will be December 6 at 7:00 PM
in the Intermediate School Cafeteria.
Message from our Heinz Field Stand Leader, Jay  Blaney:

We have over 100 people who have completed the Aramark training and those names on the list as qualified to work Aramark events. Many have not volunteered at all.


In my household, we have raised over $50,000 as Aramark volunteers over the last14 years. This has not only paid for the trips of our children; it has ensured that this fundraiser remain viable for our organization.

We received the following from our Aramark representative:

This is very frustrating and my boss is very upset with me since the numbers are so low.
He is instructing me to get new groups for next season and not bring back those who do not come through with their commitment to the games. Everyone’s numbers are strong in the beginning then seem to fall off at the end of the season. 
I hate to see any group lose this fundraising opportunity, so please all your members know this. Night games are part of your commitment.

As you can see from the letter, our participation has been less than acceptable and Aramark is considering dropping us.

It may well be that you can "write a check" for your child's trip, but many cannot. It is for those people that I ask that you go to the BPO website and sign up to work at Heinz Field.

Many others have worked much more than they "need to" at Heinz Field, just so that we met minimum requirements with Aramark. (My son's upcoming Florida trip was paid for before school got out last year, and yet my family has been represented at all but two games this year.)


P.S. Even if you have been to Aramark events this year, it hasn't been enough to keep us off of the hit list, so "YES, I AM TALKING TO YOU TOO!" PLEASE LOAD UP THE VOLUNTEER LIST AND COME WORK THESE GAMES!
Heinz Field Sign Ups

We need 12-15 volunteers to efficiently run our Heinz Field stand! It can be a challenge to staff the stand as the holidays near and the weather gets colder, but please consider volunteering if you are trained.

Note: Please sign up only once per game. Multiple sign ups make it difficult to count the number working. If you need to cancel, we need to know no later than two days prior to the game so a replacement can be found.

Game Sign Ups Available:
Officers are needed. We will need to fill the following positions before the end of the school year:
  •  secretary
  • student accounts 
Both officers have seniors. 
Officers are needed to fill the following positions after the 2018/2019 school year:
  • president
  • treasurer
These officers will have seniors next year. We need volunteers this year to shadow the positions to learn how to do things. This is extremely important for the treasurer's position.

 Order deadline is December 7. Pick up will be December 14 in the Jr. /Sr. High cafeteria between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Grab your form here!

Sarris Candy and Chestnut Hill Candles will be available for pick up December 14 in the Jr. /Sr. High cafeteria between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM with Hoagies.

Only three More Weeks to Get Your 2018 Lottery Calendars!
2018 Lottery Calendars are now available to those who want to take advantage of this excellent fundraiser. Our coordinator is Jen Peko, 412-417-5731  or jendave1195@gmail.com. The winning number is based on the .PA Daily Lottery (Pick 3)drawing of the EVENING Each calendar costs $20 and contains a 3-digit number.

Payouts are as follows:
  • Number matches pulled Monday through Saturday receive $20
  • Number matches pulled Sunday receive $50
  • Number matches on the selected holiday each month [marked by a musical note]  will receive $100.
