WHHSBPO Update November 6- November 11

Officers
Officers are needed. We will need to fill the following positions before the end of the school year:
  •  secretary
  • student accounts 
Both officers have seniors. 
Officers are needed to fill the following positions after the 2018/2019 school year:
  • president
  • treasurer
These officers will have seniors next year. We need volunteers this year to shadow the positions to learn how to do things. This is extremely important for the treasurer's position.

Fundraising
  • Will be starting the online site Flip Give. We get a percentage of sales. Your need to join our team and share the link with friends/family. Anytime someone buys, it goes under the student’s name. You can earn 1-3% back for some and others were higher. For instance,  you can double down with Buffalo Wild Wings which gives 10% for e-gift cards purchased which you then spend at one of our  Buffalo Wild Wings nights. 
  • Motion made to pay band stipends was made.

Motioned passed. Stipends will be paid. 

Band Trip
  • More information will be forthcoming on trip in the next few weeks. 
  • Your deposit of $250 should have been paid by cash or student account money.
  • If parents are going to the trip, but traveling on their own, account money can be used for hotel, park tickets, etc. based on what each family owes for the trip. Mr. Crone will do his best to accommodate everyone attending. 
  • Banquet will be in March before the trip. We are shooting for March 18. More information will be forthcoming.

The 1st trip payment of $250 was due Nov 1. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Mr. Crone through email or extension 5154.
Heinz Field Sign Ups

Volunteers work in a concession stand at Heinz Field during Pitt and Steeler football games or at other special events to earn money for a student's account. Volunteers must be 18 and have completed Aramark's food preparation and the PA alcohol training.

Note: Please sign up only once. Multiple sign ups make it difficult to count the number working a game. If you need to cancel, we need to know no later than two days prior to the game so a replacement can be found.

The next Hoagie sale order will be due  November 8 with pick up on November 16 in the Jr. /Sr. High cafeteria between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM.   Grab your form here!

Delivery:  Candles should delivered to Woodland Hills Jr./Sr. High School 2-3 weeks later – approximately first week of December.
Sale price/profit: Candles are $10 each, and we earn a total profit of $4 per candle. ($3.60 to student account; $.40 to general fund)

Out-of- town customers can order online and have it shipped directly to their house. Just visit www.sarriscandiesfundraising.com and enter 10-1251 as the Group ID#. Make sure they enter the student’s name, so the student gets credit for the sale. Shipping charges do apply.

Only Six More Weeks to Get Your 2018 Lottery Calendars!

 
 
2018 Lottery Calendars are now available to those who want to take advantage of this excellent fundraiser. Our coordinator is Jen Peko, 412-417-5731  or jendave1195@gmail.com. The winning number is based on the .PA Daily Lottery (Pick 3)drawing of the EVENING Each calendar costs $20 and contains a 3-digit number.

Payouts are as follows:
  • Number matches pulled Monday through Saturday receive $20
  • Number matches pulled Sunday receive $50
  • Number matches on the selected holiday each month [marked by a musical note]  will receive $100.
