WHHSBPO Parent Meeting New Date!

The monthly WHHSBPO meting will be held on Monday, October 2 at 7:00 PM in the Jr./Sr. High auditorium. We would like as many people to attend as possible. There are many topics to discuss including the competition on October 7 and updates regarding the concession stand, volunteering, and the band trip. If you have not purchased your voting card, you may do so at this meeting. The cost is $5.

Calendar item added: Saturday, October 28 Swissvale Halloween Parade

[The Swissvale website says: "(rain or shine) All participants should line up at 11:45 a.m. on Roslyn Street at Woodstock Avenue. The Woodland Hills High School Marching Band and Visual Images will lead the parade through the business district ending at Dickson School. There will be treats and games for all the children who marched. Everyone is invited to show their support by lining the streets and cheering on the boys and “ghouls.” The parade distance is approximately 3/4 of a mile so be sure to make preparations for your littlest marchers.]
Hoagie order pick up is September 21

Heinz Field Sign Ups
Volunteers work in a concession stand at Heinz Field during and Steeler football games or at other special events to earn money for a student's account. Volunteers must be 18 and have completed Aramark's food preparation. See our Volunteer page for requirements.

Game Sign Ups Available:

Pitt V. Rice-- Saturday, September 30
Heinz Field: Steelers v. Jaguars-- Sunday, October 8
Sale starts- Sept 25
Sale ends- October 9

Delivery-  Orders will be delivered November 16
Pick Up- All orders must be picked up on November 16 between 5:00 PM and 6:00 PM
Order form- Pick up in band room and online.

Don't forget to sign up for the Wolvarena concession stand. We are always in need of help to operate our busy concession stand. Please consider volunteering. It is important that we staff the stand with 10-12 band parent volunteers per game. 2018 Lottery Calendars

2018 Lottery Calendars are now available to those who want to take advantage of this excellent fundraiser. Our coordinator is Jen Peko, 412-417-5731  or jendave1195@gmail.com. The winning number is based on the .PA Daily Lottery (Pick 3)drawing of the EVENING Each calendar costs $20 and contains a 3-digit number.

Payouts are as follows:
  • Number matches pulled Monday through Saturday receive $20
  • Number matches pulled Sunday receive $50
  • Number matches on the selected holiday each month [marked by a musical note]  will receive $100.

Watch your email for information regarding the upcoming competition on October 7. Check out the Bringit sheet to volunteer. Descriptions of job duties will be posted soon. Our chair for the overall event is Laura Osterle. Amy Scifo, our cookie table chair, has already issued a call for baked goods. This is an all hands on deck event featuring great music, yummy baked goods, beautiful raffle baskets, and our ever popular, 50/50! . More information will be forthcoming in the next couple of weeks, so watch your email!
