A big thank you goes out to everyone who volunteered to make this season's home games a success. Whether you volunteered for one game or every game, we really couldn't have done it without you!

Tournament:
  • Our tournament performance will be at Penn-Trafford on Saturday, October 21. Rehearsal report time is Noon at the Wolvarena. Dinner will be around 3:00 PM. Student pick up after the tournament will be at the Jr./Sr. High. Depending on time, there may be an opportunity to visit the concession stand.
  • Performance time will be 6:15 PM. There are 14 bands and the special guest band is, Slippery Rock University.
  • Admission for this event is $15 for adults and $8 senior citizens and students. [Prices are set by the TOB.]
Fundraising Information:
  • A fundraiser board has been set up in the band room. Please remind your band/image member to check this space for information and sales packets regarding  our current fundraising efforts.
 
Swissvale's 23rd Annual Halloween Parade!

Report time in the past has been 10:30 at the Jr./Sr. High or 11:15 at the parade start in Swissvale. More information will be announced soon.
 

Saturday, October 28, noon (rain or shine). All participants should line up at 11:45 a.m. on Roslyn Street at Woodstock Avenue. The Woodland Hills High School Marching Band and Visual Images will lead the parade through the business district ending at Dickson School. There will be treats and games for all the children who marched. Everyone is invited to show their support by lining the streets and cheering on the boys and “ghouls.” The parade distance is approximately 3/4 of a mile so be sure to make preparations for your littlest marchers.


 
Heinz Field Sign Ups
There are still slots available for the Sunday, October 22 Steeler game against the Bengals. Game time 4:25 PM is and the report time is 1:00 PM . Sign up here!

Volunteers work in a concession stand at Heinz Field during and Steeler football games or at other special events to earn money for a student's account. Volunteers must be 18 and have completed Aramark's food preparation. See our Volunteer page for requirements.

Note: Please sign up only once. Multiple sign ups make it difficult to count the number working a game. If you need to cancel, we need to know no later than two days prior to the game so a replacement can be found.

The next parent meeting will be held on November 2. In the intermediate school cafeteria at 7:00 PM

Out-of- town customers can order online and have it shipped directly to their house. Just visit www.sarriscandiesfundraising.com and enter 10-1251 as the Group ID#. Make sure they enter the student’s name, so the student gets credit for the sale. Shipping charges do apply.
Orders with the full payment are due to Mr. Hopkins in a sealed envelope by Monday, November 6th. Checks are to be made payable to WHHSBPO with your student's name and “Sarris Candy” written on the memo line. Additional information at, 
2018 Lottery Calendars
 
2018 Lottery Calendars are now available to those who want to take advantage of this excellent fundraiser. Our coordinator is Jen Peko, 412-417-5731  or jendave1195@gmail.com. The winning number is based on the .PA Daily Lottery (Pick 3)drawing of the EVENING Each calendar costs $20 and contains a 3-digit number.

Payouts are as follows:
  • Number matches pulled Monday through Saturday receive $20
  • Number matches pulled Sunday receive $50
  • Number matches on the selected holiday each month [marked by a musical note]  will receive $100.
